Où mon cœur sera toujours...

Où mon cœur sera toujours …

In French, this phrase means where my heart will always be. As I am listening to the soundtrack to the film "Les Choristes", I began to get extremely sentimental. This was the first movie we watched in my French 325 class with Professor Marxer. It seems like just yesterday that I stepped off the plane in Charles De Gaulle vaguely knowing one girl and c'est tout. With the help of the policy seminar, we all became friends. Good friends. Friends that I will try my best to stay in touch with but know that with separation, communication can be hard at times.

Strasbourg has been...more than words can explain. I have learned so much about myself, about French culture, about life. There are so many emotions that come with leaving everything you know behind for a semester that you have been dreaming about for so long. I will never forget the trips I took. Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Rome, Madrid, Brussels, Luxembourg, Nancy, Verdun, Reims, Metz, Zurich, Heidleburg. I look forward to my trips to Tangier and Chefchaouen in Morocco and my time in le sud de France with my dad.

There are so many mixed emotions le fin du semestre. I can not wait to be home. To see the people I love. At the same time, these fews months have been some of the best times of my life. The food, the people, the culture. That is why I titled this blog ou mon coeur sera toujours. A piece of my heart will always be in Strasbourg.

I hope that in the next few days I write some more thoughts down about my time here. To all I love know that I am sending mon amour from France to you all around and that I miss you. LOVES.
